Completed Spell Reliquary (v1.09)


Spells are different types of abilities and actions that are both passively activated and triggered when in the player's Spell Slots- any spells that are placed in the player's Spell Pouch will not be casted and or activated. Spells can be purchased in the Spell Shop, as well as some select spells being obtained in various puzzles and other areas.

There are 5 different types of spell categories that you can find in your runs: Projectile Modifier Spells, Utility Spells, Material Spells, Wand Modifier Spells, and Greek Letter Spells. In total, there are currently 306 spells in the game! More information about each spell category can be found below.

Spell Attributes

Spellstats (13)
Timers Timer spells are indicated with the small clock sprite in the top-right of a spell. At the moment, there are only 6 timer spells.

Timer spells create a small light particle where they were activated from and will cast the specified spell there after around 3 seconds.

Spellstats (14)
Charges Spells that contain "charges" (or uses) are indicated by the number surrounded by brackets in their item names. Whenever the spell is casted, the charge will decrease by 1. At 0 charges, the spell that is attempting to be casted will not. Entering the Spell Shop will replenish charges on spells inside the player's spell slots.
Spellstats (6)
Mana Drain Spells that specify that they use "mana drain" in their item description means that the effect that they cast is passive when in a spell slot. The passive effects can vary from being triggered every Minecraft tick, to every few minutes. Mana Drain will consume the player's mana constantly as long as a spell that uses it is active.
Spellstats (4)
Mana Use Spells that specify that they use "mana use" in their item description means that the effect of a that spell will only be activated through some sort of trigger. These triggers can be things such as taking damage, impacting a surface, or killing enemies. Mana Use will only consume the player's mana in a single-instance.
Spellstats (5)
Mana Refill Spells that specify that they use "mana refill" in their item description means that the effect of that spell can either be a mana use or mana drain-type spell. But instead of subtracting mana, it adds it.
Spellstats (10)
Damage The "damage" statistic on a spell is either the total or overall damage a spell can inflict on an enemy. Certain spells which have a + or - in their damage statistic means that they add or reduce the player's base bolt damage.
Spellstats (8)
Healing The "healing" statistic on a spell represents the amount of HP the player can receive when using said spell. Each point of healing is equal to a half-heart of health.
Spellstats (9)
Explosion Area The "explosion area" statistic on a spell is the total guaranteed damage radius of an explosive. The further out an enemy or player is from the explosion area means the less damage they will take. This statistic is measured in blocks.
Spellstats (2)
Radius The "radius" statistic of a spell represents the total proc radius of said spell. Any enemy or player that is inside a specific radius will be applied with the spell's effect. This statistic is measured in blocks.
Spellstats (7)
Lifetime The "lifetime" statistic of a spell is the total amount of time a spell can be alive for before expiring. Certain spells which summon familiars or alchemic pools will have a set lifetime which counts down by 1 in-game Minecraft tick.
Spellstats (1)
Speed The "speed" statistic of a spell is the total distance it can travel in a single in-game Minecraft tick. Most spell which summon a familiar or entity will have this statistic. The speed statistic is measured in blocks.
Spellstats (3)
Multicast The "multicast" statistic of a spell represents the extra amount of bolts the player can potentially fire in a single cast. Spells with a multicast statistic that contain a + symbol in them means that they can stack on top of existing multicast spells.

Bounces The "bounces" statistic of a spell is the amount of directional bounces the player's bolt can make before it expires when impacting a surface. Spells with a bounces statistic that contain a + symbol in them means that they can stack on top of existing bounces spells.

Max Charges The "max charges" statistic represents the total capacity of charges a spell has when it is full or refreshed.
Spellstats (15)
Activator Spells Activator spells are indicated with the "Press F to," not to be confused with "Press F on," in their item description. Meaning that the effect of the spell will only be activated when you press f while holding the specified activator spell.

Projectile Modifier Spells

Projectile Modifier Spells are indicated by their blue border. This spell type will apply the effects of the spell onto the magic bolts that you shoot out of your wand. Some projectile modifier spells can only be triggered when a bolt impacts into a surface or wall.

Utility Spells are indicated by their green border. This spell type will apply the effects of the spell onto the player. Most utility spells act similar to perks from Clynntanis. Some utility spells will alter the player's playstyle such as altering movement or picking up specific items.

Greek Letter Spells are indicated by their gold border. Greek letter spells are a rare spell type that spawn significantly less in the Spell Shop. The chances for a Greek letter spell to spawn on a spell board slot is 1/40. This spell type will drastically effect how the player regains mana. Each Greek letter spell appeals to a different playstyle, but you aren't discouraged from using them all.

Spell Tiers

Spells tiers are an invisible statistic that determines the likelihood of a certain spell being pulled from a loot table over another. The range for tiers go from 0-3 with the higher tier being less likely to obtain over the lower ones.

This rule does not apply to a spell which has a tier of 0. As a 0-tier spell is obtained in means which aren't a probability chance.

Not to be confused with spell groups such as Greek Letter Spells being significantly rarer than all other groups. Spell tiers are a sub-determining decision within a select loot table. (Think of them as an additional dice roll in a spell group)
