Ancestor Events are rare occurrences that can appear in a player's run. Some of these events require digging and experimenting, whilst others are straightfoward on triggering.

There are currently 4 different Ancestor Events that the player can trigger.

Ancestor4
If the player doesn't take a single point of damage during a wave, at the end of the wave they will trigger this event. A safety feature was also implemented in that this event will not trigger unless the player has also killed 30+ enemies in a wave.


A small reward containing either shillings, flasks, spells, or relics will spawn on top of the player in the form of a chest at the end of the wave.

Ancestor1
If the player manages to obtain both the Myriad Spell and either a Doubled Spell / Tripled Spell within their inventory, they will trigger this event.



The player will lose their Myraid Spell but will be compensated with 60 shillings.


This event was mainly added in order to prevent the player from crashing and or corrupting their world with infinitely-multiplying bolts. (This is due to the nature of Myraid Spell multiplying itself exponentially by x+2^x3 times each tick).

Ancestor2
If the player decides to steal a relic off of the Offering Pedestal within the Holy Mountain, they will shortly trigger this event moments later.



Once this event starts, the Ancestors will summon Guard to fight you.


If the player manages to kill Guard, all Holy Mountains in the future (for the current run) will have a 50% chance of spawning Letter of Dismay instead of a relic.

Ancestor3
If the player decided to steal a relic off of the Offering Pedestal within the Holy Mountain while having already consumed the Ancestor Artifice, they will trigger this event.


This event will continue to trigger if the player continues to steal relics in future Holy Mountains.
